The Coach
As a coach, I approach my work from a place of deep listening, connection and mutual trust. It’s important to create a safe space for my clients and I to work and explore in. In this space, goals and expectations are defined and refined, which ultimately promotes challenges, accountability and change.
I strive to promote and create sustainable change in my client’s perspective and maturity, and in an organization’s approach to its challenges. Transformational change is approached as a process that is co-actively created with my clients. When I’m working with an individual, I engage with them through a multi-modal approach which includes a behavioral assessment, discovery session, visioning and strategic goal setting. Within an organization, I work closely and discretely with senior management to understand the drivers of change and culture and then facilitate management interaction to enhance communication, align strategies and evoke innovative problem resolution.
I’ve been fortunate in my career to be in leadership roles which have allowed me the opportunity to coach and manage teams, and develop effective leaders that have moved onto bigger roles within their companies and beyond. I’m very proud of that.
Interestingly I found myself working with many startup’s as well. I love designing an organization, watching the process unfold and aligning the team and leadership in ways that help the business grow and move to the next level.
I’m excited that I can bring this experience (over 25 years of senior level executive management experience) to my coaching practice. This combination serves as a powerful catalyst to evoke transformation and change in individuals and organizations.
I received my Co–Active Coach training from the high respected Co-Active Training Institute. I am an accredited coach through the ICF (International Coaching Federation) and very proud to be a Certified Partner of the Predictive Index, as well as a Talent Optimization Consultant. I have added to my coaching resume with additional training in organizational relationships and systems coaching. The training doesn’t stop. My clients desire to transform never ends and I strive to meet them in this powerful place.
Executive Experience
I’ve had the opportunity to serve in senior leadership roles for some of the countries most well-respected entertainment companies. Fremantle, Sony Pictures Television, Ovation TV, Hallmark Channel and Fox Broadcasting. I’d love to share a couple of highlights with you.
While at Fremantle, I created BUZZR, a digital multicast television network. I had the opportunity to create and execute the business plan. That included setting the foundation for the networks talent acquisition and retention building culture. We had no employee turnover during my tenure and I was fortunate enough to oversee all aspects of the television network’s day to day operations, and establish and execute the network’s long-term strategy of building a multiplatform and multigenerational brand.
Sony Pictures Television was fun. I had a multifaceted role, serving as the Chief Revenue Officer for FEARnet; a joint venture between Sony, Lionsgate and Comcast and as Senior Vice President of Distribution for Sony’s domestic cable networks. I was also a senior executive mentor in the Sony Mentorship program, mentoring and guiding select executives as they navigated the challenges of corporate and career growth.
One of the biggest challenges and thrills of my career was as the founding Chief Operating Officer for Ovation TV. My partners and I raised money and bought a struggling cable network. We rebuilt, re branded and re launched the channel. I had oversight for all revenue generating functions of the business and built two dynamic sales teams. Today Ovation TV is the only national cable arts channel and has thrived in a very competitive and dynamic marketplace.
